Hello, I'm Alyssa

Registered Behavior Technician

I am compassionate, reliable and empathetic.

With a lifelong passion for sports and community involvement, I bring a unique blend of teamwork, adaptability, and compassion to my work in respite care. After graduating from NC State University, I spent years coaching and mentoring individuals across a wide range of ages, abilities, and backgrounds—experiences that

shaped my deep appreciation for inclusive support and personal growth.

In 2022, I made a meaningful career pivot from Human Resources to become a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), driven by a calling to make a more direct impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Since then, I’ve found my purpose in supporting families and individuals through hands-on care, behavioral support, and everyday encouragement.

Working in this field has opened my eyes to the challenges many families face in accessing consistent, high-quality services—especially as children grow older. That’s why I’m passionate about being part of a team that helps bridge those gaps. Whether I'm engaging with children during respite sessions, helping them build essential life skills, or simply being a steady presence, I take pride in creating a positive, supportive environment where every child feels seen and valued.

Being part of a company that uplifts and empowers the I/DD community—especially our youngest members—is incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to play a role in that mission every day.
