Heart & Home Connections was created to transform in-home respite care, offering families dependable, personalized support that truly meets their child’s needs. With a focus on quality, trust, and compassion, we connect families with trained caregivers who understand and respect every child’s unique strengths. Our founder, Carlee, brings a master’s in special needs education and years of experience in early childhood and full-time care for children with disabilities — the inspiration behind this company.

About The Founder
Carlee | Founder
With over six years of experience in special education, Carlee founded Heart & Home Connections to provide compassionate, reliable respite care for families of children with disabilities across Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and surrounding areas. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to family-centered support, community connection, and inclusive care.
Carlee holds a Bachelor's in Sociology, a Master's in Special Education, and is certified in Early Childhood Administration I & II, EPR, and CPR/First Aid. She brings a blend of hands-on expertise, program development, and community partnerships to every aspect of her work.
She founded Heart & Home Connections to be more than a service, it’s a trusted support system built on empathy, respect, and meaningful care.
