Hello, I'm Alicia

I’m a mom of four and a Special Assignment Instructional Assistant in a self-contained K–2 classroom in Wake County. I earned my Associate Degree in Human Services in 2024 and will begin a B.A. in Disability Studies at ASU in fall 2025.

I have experience supporting children with diverse needs in communication, mobility, daily living, and regulation. I love helping kids build independence using AAC devices, visuals, ASL, and personalized tools like social stories and choice boards. Some of my favorite moments are celebrating milestones like first steps, first words, and new levels of independence.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my girls and our dog, reading, hiking, and growing my plant collection.
