Hello, I'm Chloe
University of Chapel Hill Pre Occupational Therapy Student
I am caring, compassionate and patient
I am a caring, patient, and compassionate professional who is driven to meet individuals where they are and provide support tailored to their unique strengths and needs. Effective support begins with respect, empathy, and understanding, and I strive to create environments where individuals feel safe, valued, and empowered.
Since 2022, I have worked with the Autism Society of North Carolina in a variety of roles, supporting both children and adults across diverse settings. My experience includes leadership at Camp Royall, where I helped create inclusive and structured programming; serving adults as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), providing assistance with daily living skills and community integration; and working with children with challenging behaviors as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), implementing behavior support plans and evidence-based interventions.
Through these roles, I have gained hands-on experience supporting individuals with a wide range of personal care needs, complex medical conditions such as seizure disorders and other co-occurring diagnoses, as well as emotional and behavioral challenges. I am comfortable responding to medical and behavioral needs with calmness and professionalism, prioritizing safety while maintaining dignity and respect. Additionally, I have experience using structured supports, visual schedules, and individualized strategies to promote independence, self-advocacy, and skill development. I am deeply committed to fostering inclusion and belonging, and I take pride in building meaningful, trusting relationships with the individuals and families I support. My goal is to continue making a positive impact by helping individuals achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.
