Hello, I'm Cynthia
Registered Nurse
I am compassionate, empowering and nurturing
Hi there! I'm Cynthia and I am a mom to an amazing 14 year old and have been a licensed registered nurse since 2009. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000 from UNCW, an Associate Degree in Nursing from State College of Florida in 2009, and recently earned my Bachelor in Nursing from UNCW. Go Seahawks!
I have always had an unwavering passion to do good in this world by spreading positivity and empowering individuals who may fall outside of what society considers "mainstream". Throughout my nursing career, I have worked with adults and children from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and with a variety of diagnoses. More specifically, I have worked as an in-home private duty nurse and clinical supervisor for a largely pediatric population with complex medical health needs. My favorite part of this job were the relationships I formed with my clients and knowing that I made a positive difference for these families under sometimes very challenging circumstances.
I have also coached soccer for kids from the ages of 3 to 8 and relish any opportunity for involvement in youth activities. I provided afterschool care at my daughter's elementary school and found myself learning much more from the kiddos than they probably did from me! As my friends and family will tell you, I approach life with childlike curiosity and believe we can learn so much from children if we just open our hearts and minds. I am so excited to get to know your child and provide you and your family with much needed respite care. Through my personal journey of being an only parent, I have learned that raising a child really does take a village, and I would love to be part of yours!
