Hello, I'm Katya

I was adopted from Russia at the age of 5 with my sibling. I believe that this experience and the challenges that came with it have shaped my ability to understand people with unique needs. I believe that human beings all have individual, unique needs even if there’s not a formal diagnosis. I’m currently working in the school system as a 2nd grade teacher and in the process of receiving licensure in ESL. I love meeting and working with my EC students and desire to give needed time/attention to them. My hobbies include: reading, dancing, being outside in nature and traveling. Also, I love NC and have called it home for the past 29 years. I am looking forward to meeting you!
