Hello, I'm Michelle
Special Education Teacher
I am compassionate, empowering and nurturing
Hello, I’m Michelle. I am a proud mother of five adult children, including my 26-year-old autistic son. Walking alongside him as he navigates life has given me not only deep empathy, but also firsthand understanding of the dedication, advocacy, and patience required to support individuals with special needs.
Professionally, I spent 10 years with Wake County Public Schools as an assistant supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with severe and profound needs. My passion for this population is genuine. I find immense joy in helping children build skills, gain confidence, and celebrate milestones — big and small. Watching students grow and excel is incredibly rewarding to me.

I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with experience caring for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to providing compassionate, individualized care rooted in respect and understanding.
I am a people person who values strong relationships and open communication. I truly enjoy connecting with families and partnering with them to ensure their children feel supported, encouraged, and empowered. I look forward to assisting families and making a positive difference in the lives of the children I serve.
